Discovery Centre - World Chess Championship 2018 event

A good attendance of 35 minimum participated in the above event. The club were able to display the Projector from the recent grant given kindly by the Four Lanes Trust. Video's from Chess for Kids.com and Bobby Fischer World Championship matches were shown.
A number of competitions were held.
In the Main lightning Competition ended with Mike Singleton and Phlip Ware playing out a good final and they shared the winners prize.
Adam Matthews won the Plate competition.
The Problem Solving proved popular and the winners will be announced next week once the sheets are marked.
