Junior Christmas Party
The Junior Chess Club held its annual Christmas Party at their Sherborne Road venue.
Around 30 juniors and adults attended and a good selection of food, soft drinks and merriment was enjoyed. A 'blitz chess competition drew 18 entrants and the group winners were:
Ciaran Churcher, Aheng Negargar and Bryan Vaz. In the Final Ciaran Churcher edged out Bryan Vaz.
The Junior Summer awards were presented to group winners Aheng Negargar and Yasmin Phillips with the latter receiving the winners prize after a close all girls final.
Michelle Thuy was thanked for arranging the Catering and all participants received good quality awards to remember the Party.
