Junior Chess

In addition to the success of Daniel Shek, Daniel Yu also did well at the Giga- Finals and other recent events. A thank you to his mum Sue for providing the following report on Daniel's competition progress.  The lion's would have had little chance with one Daniel in the den but no chance with two !!.

Following the megafinal event that took place in May this year, Daniel Yu has completed his Gigafinal on 16^th July 2016 in Reading. He got 5 point out of 6 and won the 2^nd place in U9 group C. This has qualified Daniel to enter the challenger section in the national Terafinal which is to take place on 20^th and 21^st August 2016 in Loughborough Grammar School.

Daniel also attended the 103 British Chess Championship U9 section, he has won 4.5 out of 6 in his section, his national ranking order is yet to be confirmed by the event organiser, I think top 10 but yet to be confirmed. His new ECF grading is 102.
