The Family Chess Day at the Discovery Centre/Library drew an attendance of 17.
The club would like to thank those who came along to help out with the coaching. It was evident that there were several 'reasonable' young players as well as a few seasoned players playing their first game for some years.
The venue was good and a thank you for laying the event on goes to Helen Beavers and her staff at the Library.
All being well the next event to be held at the same venue will be in September. Further details will follow.
